Bhojpuri film ‘Biwi Ho Toh Aisi’ unveils POLO first look at Cannes 2026

Mumbai, May 20 (UNI) Bhojpuri cinema strengthened its global footprint at the Cannes Film Festival 2026 with the unveiling of the first-look poster of "Biwi Ho Toh Aisi" at the India Pavilion.
The film's producer, Nishant Ujjwal, described the occasion as a historic and proud moment for Bhojpuri cinema. He said that the presentation of a Bhojpuri film at a prestigious international platform like Cannes is proof that regional cinema is now gaining a global recognition.
Ujjwal said that "Biwi Ho To Aisi" is not just an entertaining film, but also a film with a strong social message based on the important topic of women's empowerment.
The film is directed by Sombhushan Shrivastava and produced under the banner of Renuvijay Films Entertainment Pvt.Ltd.
Bhojpuri cinema's lady superstar Amrapali Dubey and superstar Vikrant Singh will be seen in the lead roles in the film. Along with them, actors like Dev Singh, Ramsujan Singh, Maya Yadav, Subodh Seth, Saba Khan, Sahiba, Pallavi Koli, Manoj Dwivedi and Awadhesh Mishra will be seen in important roles. Sanjay Pandey will be seen in a friendly appearance in the film.
The music of the film is crafted by Om Jha and Rajneesh Mishra, while the co-producers are Dr. Sandeep Ujjwal and Sushant Ujjwal.
