Centre committed to reaching ‘last person’ with development: union Minister Bambhaniya

Aizawl, May 15 (UNI) union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, today said the Central Government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is committed to ensuring inclusive development that reaches every village, every household and every citizen, with special emphasis being laid on the Northeastern states.
Ms Bambhaniya, who arrived in Khawzawl district on Thursday as part of her official visit to Mizoram, made the remarks while reviewing various development sectors and welfare schemes in the district today.
Highlighting the Centre’s focus on the Northeast, the union Minister said the Modi government considers the region a priority area and remains determined to extend infrastructure projects and social welfare initiatives to the grassroots level. She stressed that development should benefit even the “last person” in society.
