Conditional lifting of LOC against British citizen Dr Patil, State Informs HC

Mumbai, Apr 15 (UNI) The Maharashtra Government informed the Bombay High Court on Wednesday that it had no objection to lifting the Look Out Circular (LOC) against British citizen of Indian origin Dr Sangram Patil named in an FIR for alleged objectionable social media posts against BJP leaders, if the investigation reports are not made available within three weeks.
Advocate General Milind Sathe told Justice Ashwin Bhobe that the lifting of the LOC against Patil would be subject to an undertaking by the doctor and his parents, who are based in Jalgaon in Maharashtra, that he would return to India and appear before the Investigating Officer (IO) as and when required.
Sathe submitted that a 15-day advance notice would be given if Dr Patil's presence is required for interrogation.
