Fire Service Week: Safety is not just govt’s responsibility, but collective effort, says Sood

New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) Delhi’s Home Minister Ashish Sood on Wednesday virtually launched a large-scale public awareness campaign organized by the state government’s Education Department and Delhi Fire Service on the occasion of “Fire Service Week,” to strengthen safety mechanisms across schools and hospitals across the national capital.
The Fire Service Week is being observed between April 14 to 20, and the objective of this intensive campaign is to enhance public participation towards the vision of “Safe Schools, Safe Hospitals, and an Accident-Free Society,” creating awareness about the prevention of fire-related incidents.
On this occasion, Sood also launched the “Safe School Campaign,” under which compliance with fire safety standards in all government and private schools will be strengthened.
