HP: SC denies bail, BJP MLA Ashish Sharma’s uncle, brother surrender

Shimla, April 15 (UNI) In a significant development in an alleged illegal mining case in Himachal Pradesh, the uncle and brother of BJP MLA Ashish Sharma from Hamirpur surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court on Tuesday after the Supreme Court rejected their bail plea.
The accused, identified as Umesh Sharma and Praveen Kumar, appeared before the court on the last day of the four-week deadline granted by the apex court to surrender.
The CJM court remanded both to one day of police custody and directed that they be produced again on Wednesday.
