Ranveer Singh creates history, becomes first post-COVID Indian superstar t enter Rs 3700 crore club

Mumbai, May 14 (UNI) Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has achieved a major box office milestone, becoming the first Indian male actor to cross Rs 3700 crore in global earnings.
With the stupendous success of the "Dhurandhar" franchise, Singh has not only re-established his dominance in cinemas but has also established himself as one of the biggest superstars of Indian cinema today.
His theatrical journey in the post-COVID era began with the film "83", which grossed Rs 184.36 crore worldwide. The film was highly praised for its emotional story and Ranveer's powerful performance. He then appeared in "Jayeshbhai Jordaar", which grossed Rs 24.1 crore globally, while "Circus" grossed Rs 39.6 crore.
Although these films had mixed box office performances, the 40-year-old actor consistently captivated audiences with his distinctive characters and powerful performances.
"Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" then catapulted Singh's career to new heights. The film proved to be a huge hit, grossing ₹348.89 crore worldwide. The movie once again reminded audiences of his charisma, excellent comic timing, and emotional performances, proving him to be one of the most versatile actors of his generation.
However, the real turning point came with the "Dhurandhar" franchise, which completely transformed Ranveer's box office journey. The first part proved to be a historic blockbuster, setting new records for Hindi cinema by grossing Rs 1354.84 crore worldwide. Dhurandhar 2 further expanded this success. The film is still performing remarkably well in theaters, having grossed Rs 1833.56 crore worldwide in just 55 days.
With these six films, Singh's total global earnings have now reached Rs 3,785.35 crore (approximately $1.7 billion).
With this achievement, he has become the first Indian male superstar to cross Rs 3,700 crore (approximately $1.7 billion) worldwide with a lead role in the post-COVID era.
He has surpassed several major stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, whose post-COVID total earnings are Rs 2,704.07 crore (approximately $1.7 billion), while Prabhas' total earnings are Rs 2,393.29 crore (approximately $1.3 billion).
Singh has also become the first actor in Hindi cinema to break the 1000 crore net club. He already has a major project in the pipeline and it's believed he could soon join the 4000 crore club. UNI NST SSP
