Northern Railway’s Lucknow Division commissions first Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal in Jaitipur

Lucknow, Mar 11 (UNI) Under the Prime Minister's Multimodel Cargo Terminal (PM Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal) Scheme, the Lucknow Division of Northern Railway has successfully commissioned its first Gati-Shakti Cargo Terminal (GCT).
This terminal has been established in Jaitipur, Uttar Pradesh, and is operated by UltraTech Cement Limited.
Established for the purpose of handling bulk cement, the terminal was formally inaugurated on February 26, 2026. Subsequently, commercial operations commenced on March 11, 2026, with the arrival of the first rake of cement from Jabalpur at the Jaitipur Cargo Terminal.
