Punjab: 20 thousand Buprenorphine-naloxone tablets stolen from Dhuri Hospital

Dhuri (Punjab) March 3 (UNI) Unidentified addicts allegedly broke in and stole nearly 20,000 buprenorphine-naloxone tablets along with a computer from a de-addiction centre here in Sangrur district of Punjab early on Tuesday.
The stolen medicines constituted a stock of one week for around 700 patients undergoing treatment.
This is not the first such incident at the particular de-addiction centre. Earlier, approximately 9,000 tablets had been stolen, prompting questions about lax security.
